At the Manatee County Red Cross you can develop your leadership qualities and potential. You will be invited to try new things and challenge yourself in self-discovery. We offer training in teamwork, problem solving, decision making, leadership skills, and communication skills.

Youth corps meetings, projects, Service teams and many of the trainings are led by teens, giving you many opportunities to practice leadership skills.

BUILDING RED CROSS

Teens help further the mission of the Red Cross by teaching safety skills and first aid skills to children; representing Red Cross at community functions and events; assisting with office work; and helping serve victims during natural disasters

There are dozens of opportunities for teens to get involved in community service through the Manatee County Red Cross. You will have fun with friends while making a difference in our community. You can test your leadership skills by working with other teens to plan and implement programs and projects to help your community.

SHAPING AMERICA

This is it! This is your chance to get out there and get involved in fun, challenging, and creative activities. As a Red Cross volunteer, you will become part of the largest voluntary humanitarian organization in the world. You’ll have a chance to help those in need, make a difference in our community, help shape America and change the world.

The Youth Corps meets monthly from 7:00—8:30 PM on the 1st Tuesday at our American Red Cross Manatee County Midcounty location, 10311 Malachite Dr, Lakewood Ranch. Transportation can be provided from westside by prior arrangement.
